Re: AGI Interpreter February 2025 Update
Haha! I first experienced that audio on the Tandy 1000SX, never actually had a PCjr. Which yes, those systems had numerous issues- a lousy wireless keyboard, sidecar expansion similar to what the TI-99/4 had already tried earlier, its own proprietary cassette cable and joystick interface. In KQ2, up...

Re: Cases???
Not really. When was the last time you saw software being offered on disk or CDs? There's just not enough market for it. I wish the "industry" would standardize on a form factor for mounting an SD card-slot at the front of these cases. Like a modern version of a tiny disk drive. Even if t...
Re: GalaX16
Wow, yes, very playable! I've always wondered how the waves of patterns (of opponents) in encoded in these games. I've also wondered how "self demo play" was encoded in these early games (most arcade games had a timeout that would kick off a self-play demo, which I always assumed they just...

Re: Crazy Solitaire
Another observation: the score sometimes increments by 5 after just clicking the bottom facing card of a stack (not always; but seems if there are multiple facing cards in the stack it always increments by 5 after just clicking the card).

Mouse enable and clear mouse pointer for X16 (cc65 example with inline asm)
Example of getting the mouse cursor position, button state, scroll status, and clearing the mouse pointer. I forget how I learned that the current mouse pointer is at VRAM 1,$3000 (I don't see it mentioned in the X16 Tech Ref, similar that the current font is at VRAM 1,$F000; where is this "mem...

Re: Synthesizer Demo
This is so polished and enjoyable to use! Especially I like the little "channel" lights. One reason I'd like a key-stroke recording is so that sequence can be used to play a composition back (in terms of notes) - which should be smaller (more compact) than an actual digitized audio recordi...

Re: Crazy Solitaire
Very enjoyable rendition of this classic game, and a very polished software on this system. (for those not aware, Dusan also did various other early X16 titles - check out CrazyLander, it's still very excellent; he's one of the masters of this system :) ) One small thing I noticed- I selected "...

Re: Cases???
You're aware of the large Desktop Lazer3D case now being offered? The original shorter pizza-box one is offered, but there is now also a taller one for those who do want to use multiple cards. That said, TexElec (or anyone) making an "external" version of the 90-degree adapter for the side...

Re: FAQ Update for Gen-2 aka "CX16GS" system
The Game Boy used a Sharp SM83 processor, which was sort of in between an 8080 and a Z80. Ack, pardon, yea I meant SNES instead of GameBoy! I didn't have either, I went the Genesis/Lynx route instead in my day. Still, main point was that appealing to the early 1990s platforms crowd is going to be a...

Re: FAQ Update for Gen-2 aka "CX16GS" system
Wow, what a great way to get people to stop doing all software development for the x16. Don't bother writing 6502 code, because that's going to be obsolete... I think the rant here is valid but for a different reason. Not because the software will be obsolete - but because it won't be interesting. ...
