Re: Warlock's Dungeon (Alpha V1) - A Gauntlet-like for the CX16
I had found the pause key after reading the intro more carefully. I was also thrown by "Press A button" as "A" is an actual button on the controller. I realize that sounds stupid, but remember I have never seen this game before, I have no idea what keys are used. You can get thro...

Re: Warlock's Dungeon (Alpha V1) - A Gauntlet-like for the CX16
Is there a "pause" key? Considering that a controller is not shipped with the machine, and people with the emulator probably don't have one, the default keys (Few as they are in this case.) should be on the pause screen. I'm not targeting that at THIS game... just that it should be on any ...
Re: Weird AI
I rather expect that the inferred "confidence" of an AI is from the viewer, not the AI. The AI is just reading a script written for it by a collection of info processing algos. It certainly has no more idea what it's talking about than a radio when it converts to sound what is transmitted ...

Re: x16emu ported to Haiku
Wait, "Be" was started by former Apple people? Ok, that explains why it was trying to start a new OS with the "Power PC" hardware. And why I never heard of it. I bought a Power PC when they first came out in the early 90's. I had huge buyer's remorse over it. It was, in my opinio...

Re: x16emu ported to Haiku
Huh. Ok. I had never heard of "Haiku" outside of the obvious reference to a Japanese poetry style. So of course I assumed it's a Linux distro. But no, it's based on something called "BeOS" which I have also never heard of, but was apparently started be a company called "Be&q...

Re: Setting day of week in the RTC can both disable the battery and set the wrong day
It's in the KERNAL section, under "Clock" It's detailing the fields for the "clock_set_data_time" call. It's the last line in the block. The other data look correct, things like day and month properly start at 1, but day of week starts at 0.

Re: Setting day of week in the RTC can both disable the battery and set the wrong day
I should mention this as well, it's not a bug, but a documentation error. The docs say the range of the dayofweek value stored in the RTC is 0 to 6, but it's not, it's 1 to 7. The way the RTC works is at midnight it rolls some of it's internal values over, and if the dayofweek is 7 at that time, it'...

Setting day of week in the RTC can both disable the battery and set the wrong day
The KERNAL call clock_set_date_time (Which in is the file rtc.s and called rtc_set_date_time) has a bug in the section that sets the day of week. After it sets the battery enable bit with ora $08, it calls i2c_write_byte_as_bcd. In doing so, depending on which day of week you were trying to set, it ...

Re: A BITMAP FILE SPECIFICATION FOR THE X16. (In progress)
There's a discord thread? What's it called? Anyway. The only real addition needed for sprites and tiles is the number of tiles in the file. Which... is what the reserved data is for, is it not? There are other considerations unique to sprites and tiles... specifically dealing with palette and animat...
