How about an 8 Bit Internet Service?
Here's a random thought, seeing as the SD card just uses SPI, why not make a device with an SD card interface and a WiFi connection, then you could read/write data to files that are really piped elsewhere. Similar to serial etc in Linux. It would be quirky, but you could create a basic system that...

Request: Tiny PCB revision that will reduce cost and add functionality?
Thanks that would work great.<br /> <br /> I can fill in some of the blanks on the 3D model using individual part models if needed. I've seen a previous render months/years ago that looked fairly accurate and had a lot of the key parts. I'm assuming it was generated from the PCB file as opposed to ...

Additional SNES ports PCB header?
I thought I'd split this off into a separate thread. In the video David mentioned 2 additional SNES ports would be available via headers on the PCB. Will these default to Player 3 and Player 4? Is there anyway to configure which port is which at the system level, or should games allow the user to ...

Request: Tiny PCB revision that will reduce cost and add functionality?
Thanks for all the input, here's a few answers to some of the points raised. "better for some cases but not for others" - So all cases will be using the FPanel jumper connector, I can't see a practical way of engineering a case to utilise the existing flat buttons and LEDs. The existing parts are d...

Just putting this out there as an idea...<br /> <br /> Could you move the pushbuttons and LED indicators near to the front edge of the board and set them at 90deg? <img class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" data-fileid="2640" data-ratio="84.44" width="302" alt="image.png.9d8407fa606d611581ed0a3ff89...

Front panel connection
Ah great. Will you be publishing a schematic or a list of all the header pin-outs? I realise it's not final yet but it would be great to get a heads up. One of the other things I was wondering about were the 2 SNES connector headers. Are these in addition to the rear ones or could they replace th...

Apologies if this has already been discussed but I couldn't find the final spec for the board design (I'm sure it's not set yet anyway).<br /> <br /> So I'm talking about the connector you usually find on ATX motherboards that connects to the power and reset buttons and LED etc.<br /> <img alt="Ser...

I work with a bespoke SFF case manufacturer. There's no minimum order, the cases are manufactured ad-hoc. The case could be designed from scratch around the X16 and supplied in kit form or fully assembled. Right at the start, before you announced the official case, we were looking at offering our o...

I like the idea of the JS interface. I've been playing around with the code Emscripten generates but it seems very unwieldy. The main thing I was trying to do was launch/destroy specific WASM binarys on the fly using a simple method with a few params. This would allow you to choose what version of...
