Re: networking options

Kevin (TEXELEC) is developing one(a wifi card). There's already been a demo of a prototype, the 8bg has already written >95% of a terminal program and demoed that as well with TEXELEC's card. Last I knew there's still work being done because the current terminal program only has BASIC ASCII control...

Re: networking options

Just my two cents here. For me, what would be period correct and hugely enjoyable is a simple wifi modem that allows for a simple terminal program to connect to internet-based bbses. One of my primary uses for my C64 was to connect to bbses for conversation, games and downloads. To me, having some s...

Re: Release 45: Nuuk

Similarly, I'd love to see the updates in a single, easy to find place with straightforward directions. Perhaps this exists, but I've yet to find it.

Thank you,
Daniel

Re: X16 Edit - a text editor

Perhaps this has already been suggested, or it exists in another text editor that I've yet to find, but I would love to see word wrap as a feature. One of my main goals with my x16 is to use it as a portable word processor. I've built my Commander into the case of an old non-working Zenith SupersPor...

Calcmandan, it's a pleasure to meet you here. I don't have a YouTube channel, but I'm happy to share info about my project. Your post actually got me thinking about posting info about it on my blog or website. I did develop a nifty keyboard controller that allowed my homebrew to use a C64 keyboard....

Cliff Stoll! Oh, how I love that human. I got to talk with him a number of times a few years ago as I was hoping to option his book and make it into a film or TV series. He's marvelous and his story is geek-tastic. The dramatization Falken links to is really worth watching, especially since Cliff p...

Hello from the wilds of Maine, USA

Picosecond, it's always a pleasure to meet fellow New Englander, though I must admit that I'm originally from New Orleans, so I'll always be "from away." And SlithyMatt, thank you for the clarification. Commandos is just fine. And I think I'm wearing unmentionables today. But it's hit or miss in th...

Hello from the wilds of Maine, USA

Hello my fellow retronauts. I am extremely excited about this project and have been since David first mentioned it. I built a 6502-based computer and OS a few years ago and found it to be one of the most exciting projects I've ever undertaken. So very excited to see how this progresses.    Cheers, ...
