Re: Uzebox - open source 8 bit console
I have put my most recent Uzebox Omega build up for auction on ebay: Included in this bid: * A fully assembled and tested Uzebox Omega v1.1 console with 3D printed silk silver copper case. * A Uzebox compatible Adafruit SNES / Uzebox controller. * A "universal" power supply adapter. * A 16...

Re: 3 brothers
Thanks Wavicle!
It seems you only have a few OtterX kits left so I'd better be quick if I want one.
I presume the remaining kits still require the bodge board to use all features?

Re: 3 brothers
VectorHeadArcade are the only people I could find selling the X16 so I presumed it was theirs. We literally have a "buy" link on our web site. =) That leads to a post with the purchase links: https://cx16forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6772 My bad. I was supposed to write OtterX, not X16.

Re: 3 brothers
I'm surprised that the X16 doesn't have a serial port or UART headers as standard. Both the C64 and VIC20 and I think most of the Commodore machines had a serial port. Most of my cheap TV boxes and SBCs have UART as standard. I tried emailing VectorHeadArcade a few days ago to ask if they would be ...

Re: 3 brothers
Thanks Jimmy!
Hopefully they'll do another revision of the Otter that doesn't need a bodge but then again, I have no idea what I could use the cartridge slot for? There probably isn't much available in the way of X16 expansions yet are there?

Re: ATARI 2600
Im an Avid supporter of the X16 project, I bought an X16 and I want to do so much on it. I don't want to only use it as an Atari 2600, vic-20 or c64 (as a kid I owned all 3 in the 80's, I saved by delivering papers and anything I could do to get these machines) No-one would use an X16 "only as...

Re: 3 brothers
Very cool stuff Jimmy! I am quite tempted by the Otter, if they become available again. You say the Otter requires a "bodge" for compatibility? Have you got a link to more details on this bodge? Does anyone know how many Otters got sold? I have built five Uzeboxes now. It would be cool to ...

Re: Uzebox - open source 8 bit console
There is now an easier to build version of the Uzebox called the Uzebox Omega.
I have uploaded a short video of me using Linux and vim via telnet on a Uzebox Omega using Uzenet wifi and a PS/2 keyboard adapter:

Re: Uzebox - open source 8 bit console
I'm more than happy to build and send a Uzebox including a full, 3D printed case like this one I made yesterday to anyone who ports Barbarian or IK+ to the Uzebox. The experienced Uzebox devs reckon both should be doable. https://uzebox.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11187 https://uzebox.org/forums/view...
