$990 is not entirely unreasonable. Just saying.

Please read the FAQ for the release date estimate ??

P.S. It won't cost anywhere near $999!

I'd love to see that decimal point shifted one to the left. ?

In all seriousness, I'm confident the team will keep the price as low as they can, but it's not going to be as inexpensive as a C64 was "back in the day".

I wish I could say more but I don't think you'll be disappointed.

No worries.  I'll (semi) patiently wait for an official announcement. ?

For me, when this project sees the light of day (and I know it will), I'll be happy.  If it's available for under $250 and it kit form, I'll be ecstatic. In the coming months, I'll learn where on that scale I land. ?

The C64 cost $595 when it came out in 1982, which would be the same as well over $1000 today. I think the X16 can manage to get below that!

You're right - I had forgotten its introductory price versus what it was later in the 80s.

My hopes are in 2020 dollars, though, not 80s dollars converted. ?
