First production boards shipped

Post by TomXP411 »

From Kevin Williams on Facebook:

We shipped the first development board today! Board # DEV003. David has DEV001 and I have DEV002. We have up to DEV012 ready and we'll be sending them out over the next few days.

Don't get too excited, we only have 10, which were made by hand, ready to go at this moment. No orders yet.
We ordered a solder dip station along with some other equipment to help automate the process and the last parts arrived Friday. When the Texas snowmageddon ends, we will start setting up the station and working out the kinks.

Also, we are able to make more than 50 boards! There should be approximately 80 available for sale when we are able to get the production ramped up. The last set of PCBs are in production now, and we have the parts on-hand.

We're getting pretty close to a major milestone, and we couldn't have done it without your support! Thanks so much to everyone involved, it's been a long road but we're almost there.

I can't wait till I'm able to order one. It'll be fun working with an 8 bit machine again as it's been too long for me.

If your interested, I could reach out to a local supplier here, in Adelaide, SA. About getting a bunch made locally here. At a company called Entech https://entechelectronics.com.au/

This picture right here is why you should have had more children and why child labor in the home is completely acceptable. Please tell me what P.O. Box to direct my money order. I will gladly wait 4-6 Weeks.

At this point, systems are being shipped to developers and early backers. We'll let you know the moment David announces open sales.
