Hello from New York City!

Post by dario144 »

Hi Guys!

I had my first PC, the C64 in 1985. I am excited at how CX16 resembles the C64!!
I downloaded the CX16 emulator but don't know how to use it!
What command must I type in the emulator to get it to read the folder in my HDD where the games are stored?

If you're on Linux, here's a quickstart guide https://github.com/X16Community/x16-emu ... t-linux.md

If you're on Mac or Windows, it still works the same but you might have to use the equivalent shell commands for those systems.

The emulator readme file contains a description of all the options https://github.com/X16Community/x16-emu ... /README.md

I assume that you've got the emulator running on your system. If not, let people know what platform you're on as that helps them help you.

Dessertfish has pointed you at the emulator readme and the section you want is titled - Host Filesystem Interface

Once you've got up to speed on that, start looking at the whole document system at https://github.com/X16Community/x16-docs/tree/master for items of interest.

Happy 8-bitting in 2023!
