greetings my fellow retro people

Post by pcman902 »

When i forst saw the 8bit guys video i thought it was a great concept.
Back in the 80's i bought an Apple ][+ clone and thats when i began delving into programming and i learned a lot.
Then i progressed to PCs and Macs and now i'm revisiting a modern look on a computer system based on C64.
I hope i can learn some more of 6502 CPUs and do some development work for the commander x16.

welcome! the emulator supports a special $DB opcode that helps put "breakpoints" or stop-points that opens up the debugging features of the emulator. This helps (at least for me) to examine and step through 6502 code and get more familiar with the KERNAL calls.

BASLOAD has also been enjoyable at quickly prototyping some ideas. Just turning the system and seeing that flashing cursor, saying "program me!!" :) Hoping soon someone does the fish tank simulator
