I was at the VCF Dallas this weekend and when I was at the Commander X16 table, there was a couple of cards plugged into the slots of an X16 board. At that time, no one was behind the tables and I never got a chance to return. So, does anyone know what those cards were? They looked like a serial and wireless NIC card, but that's a guess. I don't think a 65C02 has the power to display web sites on the interwebs.
Thanks,
Gerry
New Plg-in Cards for the X16
Re: New Plg-in Cards for the X16
One should have been a serial/NIC card, and the other should have been a MIDI/synth card.
The serial/network card is here: https://texelec.com/product/commander-x ... work-card/
The MIDI/synth card is not yet available.
Did you enjoy VCF? A friend of mine took his Sony Minidisc stuff and seemed to have a good time.

David and Kevin did a talk during VCF about those two cards - it was a full room in attendance, but it was also a bit hard to remember the schedule and find the room also (just since there so much else to do also at VCF, and the room was like a block down the hall).
Anyhow, yes: a network/serial card and a MIDI card were demo'd.
The MIDI card, I think it requires one particular type of YM chip - I forget the details there. But the presentation was recorded and the VCF staff should have those processed and available by the end of this month.
