Apologies - I've searched somewhat in vain for the details/answer on this... if it's already covered elsewhere, please point me in the right direction.
I have a Gen 1/Batch 1 developer board, #71 (or is it #70? I just stuck it in a case and can't now see the sticker!)...
It's on R43, and I really need to move it to R47.
How do I do this? Will it require an advanced degree in the Mystic Arts? Or is there a fairly straightforward way of doing this?
Thanks in advance.
Martin.
ROM / VERA / SMC etc updates
Re: ROM / VERA / SMC etc updates
I have a PR board (the revised release without the need for the bodge), and was able to update to r47 recently by following the instructions outlined in this post, particularly the walkthrough at the bottom of it. My Kernal was something in between r46 and r47, and my VERA didn't have the FX update. Both were successfully updated.
I didn't update my SMC because it's currently recommended not to do so, so I skipped that part.

You should probably update to r45 first. I'm not sure the smc on r43 will still work. Once your on r45 you can keep that SMC. It will be compatible with r47 ROM & VERA.Martin Schmalenbach wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2024 11:54 pm Apologies - I've searched somewhat in vain for the details/answer on this... if it's already covered elsewhere, please point me in the right direction.

The r45 & r47 updates should both be linked here on the forum somewhere. I'll try to find direct links for you if you have any problems finding them.

I think I have r45 update - there's an announcement posting I saw somewhere.
But the r47 link eludes me still.

I found this...
viewtopic.php?p=29924&hilit=r45#p29924
But I have yet to find the instructions for performing the update.
And still nothing on R47.
Can you shed a bit more light for me please?
Cheers!
