It works.
Right out of the box, which magically was not crushed in shipping, delivered three days earlier than reported by the tracking link, painstakingly transplanted in the case of a 2006 E-Machines T6536 that I have been saving for just this occasion ... who needs yet another Linux box anyway? ... and it works. Somehow, I even managed to get the power switch and reset cables onto the proper pins on the motherboard.
And it all just works. And it's 1984 again, and I've got some Phil Collins going from cassette, and I'm coding in BASIC and making stick figures on a tiny Planar 4x3 flat panel I saved just for this board.
Thanks, Dave + Team.
The Commander X16 Begins Shipping Next Week!
Re: The Commander X16 Begins Shipping Next Week!
Got mine today 3/22/2024. I can honestly say it came without dented packaging. I am looking forward to hooking it up a monitor and testing it out.

Mine arrived 2 days ago in the UK. Looking to buy a case next
Re: The Commander X16 Begins Shipping Next Week!
Mine arrived this week in the UK. Packaging was perfect for the long journey it's had. All looks perfect. I've ordered the case for it too, hopefully that will come in a few weeks and I'll start construction.

Will the x16 come to Europe like the c64?

Re: The Commander X16 Begins Shipping Next Week!
Many who live in Europe have ordered this from texelec.com and, after some time, and additional concerns with customs regarding importation, have received their X16s.
If you question is intended to ask about manufacturing of the product inside the EU to facilitate access for those customers who might live there, this is far outside the ambition of David or Kevin, because setting up international businesses is highly expensive and quite difficult due to stringent regulations.
