Hello from the UK

Post by electricwildflower »

Greetings from the UK

I'm Derek from Birmingham but i live in Sunny Wales (i can speak a little Welsh & Mandarin & Japanese).

First heard about Command X16 thanks to the likes of 8bit guy & Retro Recipes. Big fan of the Commodore C64 and other 8bit and 16bit computers and consoles so naturally this sounded like an amazing project. I don't have an X16 yet but i have tinkered with the Emulator.

Interesting fact - I have successfully got a working Retropie script to get a new system under Retropie for the X16. Still need to learn a thing or two like exiting, controllers etc so i can update the arguments but it's a fun challenge.

I still have an original C64C and THEC64 Maxi, long live the C64 :)

Do you actually have the x16 emulator running under retropie? How is the performance? Is there somewhere we can see your work in progress?

Check the link below for the current progress

It works fine on a PC but the Raspberry Pi when attempting to boot a game just flashes and goes back to the Pi menu so trying to figure out that hurdle on the Pi but the PC so far it have ran one or two games and no issues.
