Hello from germany
Hi,
Unfortunately, I have never owned a C64 (hopefully can change that soon)
Other 8-bit computers passed me by too, because I wasn't born yet. And then I was born in the GDR :D
I started at MS-Dos, and am now a developer in a small company.
For some time now I've been looking at the big retro / 8-bit YouTube and am simply fascinated by the machines.
This project is really cool and I want to be able to write games and programs for it.
At the moment I am familiarizing myself with assembler and can already say that a good program will be a long time coming :D
And a big thanks to the team for the outstanding emulator!

Hello from germany
Welcome and have fun.
May I ask what part of the GDR? When I was little, we visited the city of Weimar and the surrounding area a few times with my family (we're from the Netherlands). That was in the 80's so it was still GDR.

Hello from germany
Is GDR the English abbreviation of the German DDR ?
