Re: HANGMAN. RELEASE CANDIDATE
LOL the startup audio "sound test" is great!
I like the F1 configuration, how it goes into the selections and come back to that same menu. And like the README PGUP/PGDN viewer (although, it goes to the screen edges -- might be cropped for Composite output folks?). One nit: the background/ending music audio volume might be a lot quieter than the sound effects? (or said another way: the sound effects volume might be a tad too elevated above the background audio?). I noticed I could barely hear the audio and turned up volume, but then the sound effects woke up the neighborhood
I noticed an interesting thing: the mouse cursor flickers sometimes during the LOSE scene. I just let it run for awhile (during LOSE scene), I guess it flickers during each step of the fade out. Eventually you're just left with the red eyes and the L - nice! Maybe it should fade out a bit faster, since that a neat spooky effect?
EDIT: One other nit - releases should include an autoboot.x16
I love "waking up the sun" during a win
The left/right to change difficulty: I always forget about this, then have to ESC and exit back to menu and adjust it, and start again. That's fine - but I got to thinking: could there be another set of left/right arrows to adjust the "game mood"? i.e. to adjust the palette? Can that be done "on the fly" like that? That might be neat to make it easier to try out the different palettes (and change it based on your mood!).
Great stuff, thanks for sticking with it.

HANGMAN. RELEASE HISTORY
Putting together a release History. This is at least most of the versions I've posted that are functional Games. I'm not going back to post from my WIP where at least my first many posts were just me working on the Drawing Code. Thats still in W.I.P. if anyone is interested.

Re: HANGMAN. 1.0 FINAL RELEASE
There seems to be a lot of extra stuff in your zip files.
Would it be possible to get a version that just includes the game and the needed assets?

Re: HANGMAN. 1.0 FINAL RELEASE
Everything in the zip file (besides the Source Code) is a possible asset for the Game. It could be stripped down but I kind of threw in the Kitchen sink on purpose.JimmyDansbo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2024 6:11 am There seems to be a lot of extra stuff in your zip files.

P.S. Upon looking at the Zip again. The "EGGS(Source)" Folder could be eliminated. Don't delete EGGS thats where the Game startup sounds reside. Every single file in the Main Folder is either a program or a Graphics Asset that is part of the package.
