Ouch! Invest in a chip puller. They're cheap and your board and chips will thank you for it.

Indeed. Luckily the pins weren't snapped off or cracked; I gently got them back into alignment and put the 65C02 in a safe IC holder. I've got a 40-pin ZIF socket on the way, so I can more safely swap CPUs for testing and such.

PR00823 arrived in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada today.
It was ordered on Feb 8th, shipped on March 22nd so the "pipeline" is 43 days from order to shipping. Not bad for a small shop with DIP assembly by hand on a low volume product.
55 days from order to arrival. 12 days for something to get from Texas to here over a holiday season is respectable.
The next would be how long is it going to take to find & purchase a case, then "build" the system followed by updating it to R47? Given I'm swamped with too many things to do at the moment my guess is that it will be a Christmas present for 2024.
If anyone wants further details of getting one into Canada, just PM me here.

Hi,
PR00820 arrived in northern Germany last Saturday.
Sunday I started to do something in Basic.
I think the X16 will be a lot of fun.
Greetings
Levty

My dev board arrived from the evil customs
a little shaken, but not stirred:

And guess what: it's DEV0007

It's a beautiful thing - looking forward to tinkering with it this evening.
Just going back through this thread looking at all the pictures. Had to reply to this. I have PR0007
(and also DEV0056).
Good Times
