I wanted a CRT for my retro computers, but I didn’t want to deal with the weight and the size... so I found a 6 inches TV/radio combo for sale, that has video and audio input, and it was cheap! (€10, around $12).

i’m really happy with my purchase, and thought you guys may appreciate it.

Beautiful! I’ve been looking for something similar for my repair workbench. The search continues…

I think if you look for “portable color tv radio” you can get some results on eBay...

This model is a Contec, but there are other brands. Some are at reasonable prices.

Edit: it seems that the most prevalent ones in the US are the Emersons and the GEs, but those don't seem to have VIDEO and AUDIO IN like the Contec, so your only option if you get one of those is using the RF modulator and the antenna connector.

Yep that’s the problem I’ve had! But I’m sure one will turn up.

See if you can find a Dynex DX-R13TV for sale.

It's a 13" CRT TV with a 4:3 aspect ratio, has a DTV tuner for watching ATSC broadcasts (downscaled to SDTV resolution), and NTSC A/V inputs on the front for hooking up your retro systems.

Look for camping TVs. I got one with A/V input (mono only). Good enough for my NES. It even has a remote. Living in a PAL world here though. ?

Thanks guys. I’m looking for something a little more retro looking, perhaps a 70s vibe. I’ll keep searching eBay and thrift shops.

70's shag carpet (orange, of course) or wood grain?  Not that you need more projects (I don't either but keep accumulating them),  but if you want 'space age' retro, maybe pickup a dead vintage terminal and affix a proper monitor within.

As is normal, the second somebody posts something they procured for $12, the going-in price is immediately $100 LoL.

Thank you for the battery for scale.  That helps.

Me, I've got (smallest to largest), two SX-64s (too small), a JVC TM 910SU video editing/production monitor (color, very nice and does PAL also but too deep, two Apple IIc monitors that need to be restored, a Monochrome Zenith monitor that a kind sole here donated, and a Commodore 1702.  Nothing quite does the job for me so I'll keep looking.

Edit: That guy apparently collects TVs and Monitors for use with his parallel retro collection, with technical details. Impressive... and in swedish.. ??
