X16 Wars is a port of Advance Wars from the GBA to the Commander X16.
It includes 4 maps and several music tracks for the COs, and you can play with the main 4 Advance Wars factions.
You can even create your own maps (I should probably write some details on how to do this).
Controls:
Keyboard - WASD to move cursor, I to select units / proceed in menus, U to reverse, deselect units, etc.
Joystick - Dpad to move cursor, A to select units / proceed in menus, B to reverse, deselect units, etc.
You can download the latest release here:

Re: X16 Wars
This is working on the emulator.
But on the hardware, it is not finding the MAPS.
The program loads ok (a little slow while it is initializing tiles, but that's ok). Then audio plays - but it says no maps found. I assume it is searching for the .MAP files. I tried upper and lower case file names, no luck.
Not sure why it is not finding these files on the hardware - hmm maybe it assumes they are in the ROOT folder? I am using a sub-folder. [nope, that's not it- tried copying the map files to root of the SD, still not found]

Re: X16 Wars
(issue resolved - not sure why it worked in the emulator, but the original zip was "flat" and missed the sub-folder needed for the map files; resolved and it's runnable now)
