Hello everyone!
Hey everyone! I'm a bit of a noob programmer and I'm looking forward to making some stuff for the X16! I've been watching the 8-Bit-Guy for a while now and it's one of my favorite YouTube channels. I don't really have any money to donate so I'm gonna try to help out by learning how to program for it.
Re: Hello everyone!
Welcome.
The project is nice in that it doesn't require any money to join and learn how to program for the X16. Real hardware will cost, but the amount of free software for/from the community is probably going to increase one the hardware becomes available to the average retro programmer.
You can grab the emulator now and start programming with several references here. Start with BASIC then if you like move onward to assembly if you feel the desire. Mine these forums and you'll find lots of gold to get you going. If you get stuck, just ask.
