Hello world...
Ahhh it's been a long old wait, but here we are waiting for the CX16 to drop into our outstretched hands. What a great project, really pleased to see the progression from cool idea to bona fide dream computer.
Great to be part of the community at last, I was really pining for the old C64 community and this is actually... dare I say
better!
God bless and best wishes to all
Especially David Murray, Bill Heard and Perifractic. Now there's a heap of talents!

Welcome. Always happy to hear from the UK... I lived there from Late 71 to Early 1976. (I was quite young
).
I became a Dr Who fan then (Jon Pertwee) and didn't get a chance to see it again until ThePirateBay became a thing...
Then the re release in 2005.

I wasn't actually born until 1982 so you left a wee bit before I arrived; but it hasn't changed all that much since then. Well except the politics! Lol but I steer away from all that stuff. Never was a Dr Who fan either, but generally sci-fi elsewhere. Where are you based then?
I just started using analytics on YouTube and found out that the two guys I befriended on there both outside of the UK! That's kind of exciting for me, Canada and America never feel like they're that far away - and I have visited both so I am gratified by the fact that we can communicate across such distance with such ease. I imagine when the CX16 network card comes out, we can have GPT clients and emails etc on there, and really be in the Jetson age
I have no idea how I will get mine though, I don't use social media so I hope they were joking about announcing it on there first!

I read that at first as "You were born the same day a pilot was shot."
So how old is Dr Who then? I canet4wtijt 1dwevfsiqgrfigr1qeuyeq3rg
Sorry a huge spider just dropped down on the keyboard and they both got panic launched. He thinks I am some sort of a witch sat here brewing away comment replies with my cauldron of Tea. England is ready for the Commander X16! I will probably be checking here to see if and when we get a release date, as I boycott social media sites.
Can't remember ever being more pumped about a computer that could run BASIC at 15 times the speed...
Take my money David!
