Will the gen 2 and 3 models of the X16 have mouse and keyboard ports? I'd hate to design a game, and write it for the X16, just to have the majority of future X16 owners not be able to play it.

Yes, Gen 2 will include a keyboard and a mouse, and I doubt that's going to be changing, lest we have a repeat of the C64GS.
