For those not tracking FB or Discord - I've recently completed a hardware prototype for a (relatively) low cost HDMI-compatible output from VERA. It works using a low cost transmitter IC that converts parallel digital color signals into HDMI-compatible TMDS output. As a bonus, it can even take VERA's digital audio and put that into the stream as well.
Biggest negative for this solution is that the VERA which comes with the official X16 does not have pads for a connector to do this. The total cost may be lower for most to buy a VGA to HDMI converter cable, otherwise they would also have to purchase one of my VERA X5 boards.
