MyRetroComputer - C64 case for Mini-ITX board

Just now learned about this product: https://myretrocomputer.com/

Nice review from ExplainingComputers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYQglGwItcY

Some may like it as an option to host Phase 2 X16C Mini-ITX board.

It's a nice product, but very expensive even considering the mechanical keyboard, and the lack of PETSCII characters is the final deal breaker for me.

The current plan is for phase two to have a case or at least a case option. It's the case I showed in David's second video. Phase three will likely not have a case and be the cheapest option.

Yes, I agree. Also keyboard is USB, so USB to PS/2 converter would be needed. Still, it is always good to have another case option.

What I meant in my post is a third party solution for users who wished X16 to have a case with keyboard.

By the way, is phase 3 planned to be RPI sized board? Thus RPI cases might fit.

Yeah I know what you meant, just clarifying that there will be an option.

Exact size of the X16E has not been set.

That's very easy to do, a convertor doesn't cost very much ?

That cheap converter will do only if keyboard inself implements both USB and PS/2 protocols.

If keyboard in MyRetroComputer inplements USB protocol only, then you would need more expensive active converter like this one:

So this solution with X16 inside MyRetroComputer might be only for people who want it badly. )
