I got the wifi card and am loving it. Playing on BBSs is wonderful. I would love to see the X-16 BBS grow and I think adding game like Trade Wars 2002 to it would help that. I would love to be able to talk to other X16 owners and trade BASIC codes and things. Plus play some games.

I just figured out if you are dialing in from the x16's terminal over the serial device, you can do these options:

for ansi:
atdt x-16.net
40 col CBM:
atdt x-16.net:64
80 col CBM:
atdt x-16.net:128

Got a "Could not resolve" error on both.

I should clarify that I'm using Romterm v1.27 in CBM mode, but I got that from the BBS's Synchronet BBS Listing.

You're able to get into the ansi version?

Hey, all. I finally got my serial/network card installed, and I've discovered a couple of things.

First, the DHCP detection on this card is kind of broken. While the firmware properly picks up the IP address, it guess wrong on the default gateway and DNS server. So if your network is not on a 192.168.0.x subnet, you will need to manually enter the gateway and DNS. For most people, this is either 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, for both Default Gateway and the DNS Server.

So try running AT+CONFIG again, re-connect to your WiFI, and closely look at your IP address and make sure that the first three values of the IP address match your DNS and Default Gateway.

So if your IP address is 192.168.1.50, then your DNS and gateway should probably be 192.168.1.1.

With that set correctly, Commander Central popped right up, for me.
